Meet the Ultimate Cooler Kub Adventure Van (Cooler Kub Ebike Included!)
The Story Behind Cool Hijet: Building a One-Off Cooler King Adventure Van
What if you wanted a Cooler Kub... and the perfect way to take it somewhere extraordinary?
That was exactly the question we asked ourselves.
The original plan was simple: build a practical delivery vehicle for Cooler King. Something capable of carrying three Cooler Kubs inside, one on the back and another three on a trailer we specially adapted, allowing us to bring our bikes to customers around the country.
A working van. A useful tool. A way of getting more Cooler Kubs on the road. Something a bit more practical than the infamous Rat.Rolla. And now we're offering it for sale.
Then things got a little out of hand...
What started as a delivery van quickly became a full-blown passion project that even has it's own Instagram profile.. A project that involved some incredibly talented specialists, hundreds of hours of work, and a vision to create something that represented everything Cooler King stands for: individuality, style and engineering without compromise.
The Beginning of the Cool Hijet
We bought the van in 2024, and from the moment it arrived, we could see the potential.
The first challenge was getting the fundamentals right. The original engine was replaced... twice... until we were happy that the van had the reliability it deserved.

The front end was redesigned, the original window stampings were removed to create cleaner body lines, and the side doors became the foundation for one of the most ambitious parts of the build.
Creating the Gullwing Doors
Some ideas sound simple until you start engineering them.
The plan was to transform the standard side doors into gullwing doors. A feature that would completely change the character of the van.
Making that happen was far from straightforward.

The team at Xtreme Customs of Brentwood took on the challenge of designing and engineering the conversion, carrying out the complex fabrication and panel work required to make the concept a reality.
Creating gullwing doors on a vehicle that was never designed for them meant solving countless challenges: structure, alignment, opening mechanisms, panel shaping and achieving a finish that looked factory-built.
The result is one of the Cool Hijet's defining features — a transformation that makes it instantly recognisable.
The Perfect Colour
Once the fabrication work was complete, Cool Hijet moved to Marcus at One Eleven Customs in Basingstoke for its next stage of transformation.

The van was completely resprayed in Lexus Nori Green Pearl, a colour chosen for its depth, character and premium finish.
Under different light, the colour changes beautifully, giving the van a presence that is impossible to ignore.
The quality of the paintwork was a crucial part of the build. This wasn't about simply changing colour — it was about creating a finish worthy of the engineering underneath.
A Bespoke Interior
The exterior was only half the story.
Over Christmas, Cooler King turned its attention to the cockpit.

The original seats were removed and replaced with luxurious Jaguar electric leather driver and passenger seats, recoloured in BMW Cinnamon bringing modern comfort and a premium feel to the green over tan driving experience.
To complete the transformation, Trim Classics of Cambridgeshire created bespoke tailored carpets specifically for Cool Hijet.
Every detail was considered — from the fit and finish of the carpets to the matching interior colours — creating a cabin that feels as special as the exterior.
LED lighting, CarPlay, a deep dish steering wheel, discreet PA system and further Cooler King touches completed the transformation.
The Cooler King Philosophy
At Cooler King, we have always believed that products should be more than just functional.
They should create a feeling.
That same philosophy went into the Cool Hijet.
The goal was never simply to create a van that could transport bikes. It was to create a vehicle that represented the lifestyle around owning a Cooler Kub.
A vehicle that makes the journey part of the adventure.
The Reveal
After months of work, the Cool Hijet was finally revealed at the National Motor Museum ‘Simply Japanese’ event.
Seeing the finished van and the public’s reaction for the first time, proudly carrying the matching Cooler Kub, was the moment the scale of the project really became clear.
What started as a delivery vehicle had become something completely different.
Something unique.
Something that deserved to be enjoyed.
From Delivery Van to Adventure Machine
Somewhere along the way, we realised something...
Cool Hijet was simply too special to become just a delivery van.
It had become a one-off adventure vehicle — built through collaboration, creativity and a passion for doing things differently.
The next chapter of Cool Hijet is now ready to begin. We're handing it over to the next proud owner.

Cooler King.
Unapologetically Different.
