This Daihatsu Hijet S85 1.3L was manufactured under licence by Piaggio in Italy, making it a rare Italian-built mid-engined, rear-wheel drive Japanese classic. Or, Japanese Kei packaging, finished with unmistakable British flair. It even has its own Instagram.
Purchased by Cooler King in 2024, this Hijet has since been transformed with a long list of upgrades. It features an engine replacement, revised air intake and exhaust modifications, Jaguar leather interior in cinnamon and black, pearl green paintwork, and of course, its standout gullwing doors.
